Intel Core ‘The Chase’, directed by Smith and Foulkes, winner of the Broadcast Design award (formally the commercials category) at this years 2011 Rushes Soho Shorts.

The spot was produced for Intel to market their new technology i5 core processors. Produced at Nexus Productions using a mix of live action and animation.

It attempts to “illustrate the incredible multi-tasking power of the new Core i5 processors” by staging a 105-second chase across a wide variety of programme windows on a computer desktop including iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, Microsoft Office and the Adobe Creative Suite.

I worked as a 3D Generalist on the spot and contributed to a variety of the shots throughout the course of production, although I was mainly responsible for the modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering of the rooftop game fighting scene.

The characters however, were modelled by Andrew Hickinbottom and Conor Ryan was responsible for the character animation.
